A drawing hand in poker is a situation where in you have certain cards that makes a potentially strong hand only if you have that other card to complete it.

Drawing hands maybe tough cards to play especially when you are faced with bets or raises and you are not sure if you will call. Generally you play the hand with some checks and calls and see if you will make your straight or flush but at the same time doing it the cheapest way possible.

Looking for phantom tells

Do not be too paranoid and consider every gesture of your opponent as a poker tell. You will see unreliable tells in most hands. You will see phantom tells which really do not mean anything and it will cost you a lot of money if you will be governed by them. Keep on looking for real poker tells.

You react too soon

When you observe a poker tell, it will be a mistake to act too quickly. Hesitate for a bit and ponder. Act based on what you just saw reluctantly. This way your opponent will not link your decision to a possible read that you just made, and will not fix it through the game.

Even the best poker players in the world will have days when there is nothing happening but losing. Knowing when to quit will spell savings your bankroll.

Basically, one big reason to quit a session is because you are on your way to tilt. You might have already played a lot of games and undoubtedly you are tired or maybe have other better things to do.

You know when you are tilting when you see the following signs:

• You will have the impression that your poker opponents are most of the time bluffing.
• You are chasing the money and want to at least break even.
• You are over eager to be in the action again.
